A JVM ORM that drops the session/persistence-context model in favour of a sessionless API, explicit partial-object loading, and its own query DSL. It comes up as the counterpoint to Hibernate: interviewers use it to hear whether you can argue the trade-offs of implicit dirty checking versus explicit updates.
