Backpressure and pipeline()

Backpressure is the writer telling the producer to slow down, and honoring it is the difference between a flat memory profile and an out-of-memory crash. Interviewers ask why pipeline replaced pipe: pipe forwards neither errors nor destruction, so one failed upload leaks file handles and sockets.
