JSONB and Extensions

JSONB gives Postgres a document-store side: binary storage, containment and path operators, and GIN indexes over arbitrary keys. Interviewers pair it with the extension ecosystem (PostGIS, pg_trgm, pg_stat_statements) to see whether you know when Postgres removes the need for a second database.
