require and Exports API

Authoring a CommonJS module: the require() call, the difference between reassigning module.exports and mutating exports, and the wrapper function that gives every file its own module, exports and __dirname. Interviewers ask because reassigning exports silently exports nothing, and a circular require hands back a half-built object.
