Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-09-29

1. Acceptance of these terms

These terms are a binding agreement governing your use of the KataJob website and service. KataJob is a site name rather than a company, so the other party to this agreement — "KataJob", "we", "us" — is the individual who operates it from Tbilisi, Georgia, contactable at [email protected]. By accessing the service, including browsing roadmaps anonymously, or by creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

KataJob is an interview-preparation tool. It offers roadmaps of interview questions for a role or a skill, a search that ranks the roadmaps matching what you type, three sliders that decide which of the questions in a roadmap are in your plan, quizzes, and a spaced-repetition review schedule. The questions, answers and quiz items are generated by AI, and no person reads each item before it is published. Much of the service is available anonymously; an account adds sign-in, email verification, optional two-factor authentication, and cross-device progress.

The service is provided for educational and self-study purposes only. It is a practice aid, not professional, career, or hiring advice, and using it does not guarantee any interview result, certification, job offer, or other outcome.

3. Accounts and responsibilities

You may create an account with an email and password, or by signing in with Google, GitHub or LinkedIn. You are responsible for providing accurate information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication.

Using the service without signing up still creates a guest account on our servers the first time you record progress, and these terms govern that account too. Signing up afterwards attaches your credentials to it rather than creating a second one. A guest account that goes unused is deleted on the schedule set out in the Privacy Policy, and so is an account whose email address is never confirmed.

You must be at least 16 to use the service, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live. Notify us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you may not:

  • scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract content from the service;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data, or probe, scan, or test the security of the service without permission;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
  • disrupt or overload the service, or circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other protective measures;
  • redistribute, resell, or publicly republish questions, explanations, roadmaps, or other content without our written permission;
  • send us abusive, harassing, hateful or unlawful content in anything you submit — bug reports, messages or attachments;
  • create accounts in bulk or by automated means, or create fake accounts or accounts that impersonate someone else;
  • use the report form, or the emails the service sends on request such as verification and password-reset messages, to send spam to us or to anyone else;
  • use the service for any unlawful purpose or to infringe the rights of others.

5. Content and intellectual property

The questions, explanations, roadmaps, interface, and other materials that make up the service are owned by KataJob or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your own interview preparation, subject to these terms.

Your personal learning progress is yours. If you submit any feedback or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use them to improve the service.

6. Privacy

Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By using the service you also agree to that policy.

7. Disclaimers — educational purpose, no warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," for educational purposes only. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the content is complete, current, or error-free, that the service will be uninterrupted or secure, or that using it will produce any particular interview, certification, or employment outcome. Content is a study aid and should be verified against authoritative sources.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KataJob and the individual who operates it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, opportunities, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of Georgia, or under the consumer-protection law that applies where you live.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and may delete your account from your account settings; deletion removes your account and the learning data keyed to it. Bug reports and feedback you filed are kept but unlinked from you, as the Privacy Policy describes.

If an account breaches these terms, creates risk or legal exposure, or misuses the service, we may terminate it by deleting it, and remove any content it sent us. Where the account has an email address we normally warn you there first; an account used for spam, created by automation or used to send abuse is deleted without a warning.

To report abuse — an account, a message, or anything else sent through the service — write to [email protected].

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as content ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive.

10. Changes to the service and to these terms

The service is evolving; we may add, change, or remove features. We may also update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be communicated, and the "last updated" date below will change. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Georgia — the country, not the US state — without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts of Georgia, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer-protection law.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected]. The service is provided by the individual who operates it from Tbilisi, Georgia; section 1 says the same thing at more length, and the contact page publishes it beside the addresses.
